The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) announced today that Elizabeth Herrera will serve as its Deputy Director for the Division of Strategy and Performance, which informs DED’s strategic planning, program development, and performance management. In this role, Herrera will support strategic initiatives, organizational performance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Clarios, an American manufacturer of advanced, low-voltage battery technologies, announced today that it will expand its two facilities in St. Joseph, investing up to $390 million and creating up to 123 new jobs while retaining 936 jobs. This expansion is part of Clarios’ broader national strategy to modernize its facilities and expand its production capacity.
Pivot Bio, one of the world’s leading agtech companies, announced today that it has expanded in Hazelwood, investing more than $7 million and creating 40 new jobs. The company’s expansion includes the relocation of its manufacturing and innovation center of excellence to the St. Louis region.
