Description
The Community Revitalization Grant Program will make significant investments in communities of all sizes throughout Missouri. Through competitive grants, the Program will help support major local priorities in order to spur economic recovery today while helping communities build stronger economies for the future.
State awards $94.15 million in ARPA funding to help revitalize Missouri communities
The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced that it has awarded a total of $94.15 million through the Community Revitalization Grant Program for 70 projects across the state. The program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), is focused on investing in communities of all sizes to support local priorities, encourage economic recovery, and build resilience for the future.
State awards more than $3.7 million in ARPA funding to help revitalize Northern Missouri communities
The Department of Economic Development (DED) announced that it has awarded a total of more than $3.7 million through the second round of the Community Revitalization Grant Program for six projects in northern Missouri. The program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), is focused on investing in communities of all sizes to support local priorities, encourage economic recovery, and build resilience for the future.
Do I Qualify?
The following entities are eligible to apply for the Program's second round, providing the proposed project seeks to impact eligible beneficiaries listed in Section 5 of the final guidelines:
- Projects located in the North region of the State of Missouri
- Missouri municipalities (incorporated cities, towns, or villages)
- Missouri counties
- Missouri Industrial Development Authorities (organized pursuant to Chapter 349 RSMo)
- Nonprofit organizations (organized pursuant to Chapters 352 or 355 RSMo)
Requirements
- This is a competitive grant program.
- Grant minimum: $250,000
- Grant maximum: Applicants may apply for multiple projects. Total requests for one applicant may not be for more than 25% of the total amount available for the applicable funding category listed in section 3 of the final guidelines.
- Applicants who received funding in the first round may not submit an application to the second round.
- A local match of at least 50% is required; however, projects that demonstrate the ability to provide matching funds greater than 50% will score higher.
Funding Structure
The Department awarded full funding to all regions of the state, except the North region, through the first round of applications. A second round of applications will be accepted for the North region only. Any funds remaining after the second round may be distributed to previous eligible Applicants in other regions according to demand and ranking.
