Martin Energy Group to expand in Tipton, investing $1.7 million and creating 225 new jobs

Martin Energy Group (MEG), a leading solutions provider for generator packages, combined heat and power systems, microgrids, and anaerobic digester design and construction, announced today that it will expand in Tipton, investing $1.7 million and creating 225 new jobs.

“Martin Energy Group’s expansion is yet another example of our state’s ability to support business growth,” said Governor Mike Parson. “This leading company’s investment and job creation is a welcome result of our low costs, strong infrastructure, and skilled workforce. We congratulate Martin Energy Group on its success as it continues to grow and benefit Missourians in Tipton and beyond.”

Founded in Pennsylvania, MEG is built on a foundation of integrity and sound business principles, deeply rooted in the local community. Over the years, the company has expanded its reach internationally, with its headquarters now located in Tipton. The company’s expertise spans a broad range of industries, including greenhouses, hospitals, universities, landfills, wastewater treatment plants, agricultural facilities, mining operations, oil fields, and beyond.

“We are excited to partner with the Missouri Department of Economic Development to expand our business and create more career opportunities in central Missouri,” said Marcus Martin, CEO of Martin Energy Group. “These expansions enable us to continue production of our products here in Missouri and lead to more career opportunities in rural central Missouri.”

MEG prides itself on being a turnkey operation, with all projects designed, manufactured, and commissioned in-house. The company supplies and services the entire spectrum of power generation products, with offerings including generator sets, switchgear, gas handling skids, boilers, waste heat recovery systems, absorption chilling systems, carbon credit monitoring systems, and more.

“We’re proud to support Martin Energy Group as this significant expansion brings new, good-paying jobs to Tipton,” said Michelle Hataway, Director of the Department of Economic Development. “Employers like Martin Energy Group, through continued investment and growth, are demonstrating their commitment to communities while fulfilling our mission of helping Missourians prosper.”

New jobs added as part of MEG’s expansion will pay an average wage well above the county average.

For this expansion, Martin Energy Group will benefit from the Missouri Works program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation.
